Rally Obedience Classes

Most commonly called by its nickname Rally-O. 

Rally Obedience is a lot of fun and teaches your dog focus and attention.  Rally-O is a great way to get young dogs working well for their handlers. 

Rally-O has also proved to be a useful training tool for those who do agility.  

All levels of Rally-O classes are offered year round, both indoors and out, depending on time of year.

All classes and lessons are Trainer / Facilitator Courses, meaning :

IMPORTANT :   

Please be sure to read and fully agree to all the Safety Rules in order to enroll in any Herdabout K-9 Academy class.

All classes must be paid for by the day class begins.  Cash is the only method of payment accepted.

Dogs must be on either flat buckle, martingale, or slip collars for these classes.  Collars may be made of nylon, leather, or chain.   No head halters, body harnesses, or prong collars will be permitted in class for safety reasons.  Please check the Safety Rules page for more Do's & Don'ts.

This class is for graduates of Junior Puppy Kindergarten, Pre-Novice Level #1 or equivalent.

Rally O is a lot of fun for both the dog and the handler.  It teaches focus and attention in a more relaxed setting than formal obedience.  Multiple voice commands, as well as unlimited hand signals and communication with your dog will also build a stronger bond between the dog and it's owner.

You and your dog will learn all of the thirty-one exercises used in the Novice Level of Rally Obedience. 

This class is done all on leash.

 4 weeks long         Price $ 80.00   Gst Included

For graduates of Rally Obedience # 1. 

You and your dog will use what you have learned in Rally-O #1 and run full courses.  This class is a lot of fun and helps prepare both dog and handler for Rally-O competitions. 

Each class will be set up like a trial situation, with "walk thrus" and on leash running of the courses.  For safety reasons, no dog will be allowed off leash at any time in the class room.

All work is done on leash.

 4 weeks long         Price $ 80.00   Gst Included

For graduates of Rally Obedience # 1 or equivalent. 

This class teaches the additional 19 Rally Obedience exercises that are used in both the Advanced and Excellent level of Rally-O.  Most of the work done in class will be on leash, however, the Advanced and Excellent levels of competition will need to be performed off leash.  For safety reasons, only one dog will be allowed off leash at a time in the class room situation.

 4 weeks long         Price $ 80.00   Gst Included

For graduates of Rally Obedience # 3 or equivalent. 

You and your dog will use what you have learned in Rally-O #3 and run full courses.  This class is a lot of fun and helps prepare both dog and handler for both Advanced and Excellent level Rally-O competitions. 

Each class will be set up like a trial situation, with "walk thrus" and off leash running of the courses.  For safety reasons, only one dog will be allowed off leash at a time in the class room situation.

The instructor reserves the right to refuse and excuse anyone from lessons at any time.
