AGILITY CLASSES

Agility is a sport that is open to any person regardless of age and any dog regardless of pedigree.  A normal level of physical fitness is mandatory for participants as some running is required.  Dogs must be on flat buckle collars for these classes.  NO head halters, body harnesses, choke chains or prong collars will be permitted in class for safety reasons.

Puppy Agility #1

This class is for graduates of the  Jr. puppy Kindergarten class.  For those who are serious about agility and want to start their puppy's agility career off an the right paw.  Equipment is on it's lowest level for safety.  Motivation, focus and control exercises are used to teach the ground work for handling.

Puppy Agility #2

This class is for graduates of the Puppy Agility #1.  Continue building your foundation training for agility with your puppy as some new equipment is added and more handling skills are taught.

Introduction to Agility
4 weeks long                  Price $70.00

This class if for dogs 7 months and older.  You and your dog will learn all of the equipment used in agility trials, the commands, and basic handling skills.  Equipment is at its lowest level to build a good foundation and maintain safety

    Beginner Level #1 
  4 weeks long                  Price $70.00

This class if for graduates of the introduction class.   Equipment is at its lowest level for safety reasons as foundations for off leash handling and the sequencing of obstacles begins. 

Beginner Level #2
4 weeks long                  Price $70.00

This class is for graduates of Puppy agility #2 of Beginner level #1.  You will learn more handling skills that are needed to direct your dog through sequences of obstacles.  Equipment is at a medium level to develop the dog's skills while still maintaining safety.

Beginner Level #3
4 weeks long                  Price $70.00

This class is for graduates of Agility Level #2.   Equipment will be raised to it's full regulation heights.  You will learn more difficult handling skills with directional and distance commands

Novice/Starter Trialing Level Class
4  weeks long                  Price $70.00

This class is for graduates of Beginner Level #3.  It is ongoing 4 week sessions with each 4 week session working on different skills.  Designed to help new handlers and new dogs develop their trialing skills.  Each weekly lesson consists of handler developing sequences and a full agility course typical of what is encountered at agility trials.  Handlers can stay in this class until they have received their Novice or Starter agility title.
